The Gestalt Foundation regularly organizes open lectures on issues of general interest where the principles and methodology of Gestalt therapy can be applied. These open lectures take place in both Athens and Thessalonica.
Gestalt Foundation had a longstanding collaboration with the IANOS Cultural Chain, in both cities, and hosted a series of regular open lectures presented by the Foundations founding members and standing scientific partners.
The annual schedule of the series of open lectures was listed in the Foundations site and in its publications.
As part of its activities schedule, the Gestalt Foundation, each year organizes a closed therapy-awareness group, based on the Gestalt psychotherapy principles and methodology. This group has a 3year duration and meets regularly once a week for a 1 ½ hour.
This therapy- awareness group is designed for the Foundation trainees as well as for individuals who would like to learn more about themselves, to experiment with more flexible ways of communication and explore personal and interpersonal conflict.
Group therapy is mandatory for trainees and the hours of attendance covers the required hours for their training program.
Each year the Gestalt Foundation organizes and offers one or more series of closed supervision groups with one or more supervisors for each series in order to satisfy graduates’ and individuals’ interest in participating in these groups.
The Supervision groups are addressed to professionals who seek to improve both in a personal and professional level on issues facing their patients, to improve their skills and give each other professional support.
The hours of attendance at these meetings are counted towards the hours of participation in supervision groups required by the program in which they participate.
The Gestalt Foundation is a modern organization with a core philosophy of providing help for our fellow man.
For the people of the Gestalt Foundation volunteering is considered a duty.
The Gestalt Foundation encourages its trainees to participate in volunteering activities through their clinical practice, creating a network of collaboration with social, nonprofit organizations and bodies providing support services.

«e-therapy» by Gestalt Foundation
Gestalt Foundation online social service and volunteering program. Rich experience of partnership and offering in the heart of a deeply "wounded" era!
On March 18, 2020, just a few days after the announcement of the first cases of COVID-19 in our country, the Gestalt Foundation Psychotherapy and Training Center, drawing inspiration from the principles of social contribution and volunteerism, which characterize its parallel activities, organizes and publicizes the establishment of a psychological support program, with the symbolic title: "Remote... CONTACT".
The goal of the program is to "gather the forces" of Gestalt therapists and, in a completely voluntary context, to contribute through their work to fellow human beings who need psychological support but do not have the means to ensure it for themselves.
A framework is immediately created that foresees specific categories of people most affected by the pandemic and special conditions for inclusion in the program, in order to help every person in need to face the uncertainty and unprecedented pressure of the pandemic and the psychological impact of the quarantine on their daily life, during the restrictive measures imposed by the state for the health treatment of the coronavirus.
The program quickly gained momentum and requests arrived at a blistering pace. The waiting list is growing and with it the need to include more and more therapists in the volunteer program. At an initial stage, 4 supervision groups are activated, coordinated by a Gestalt supervisor for each, with 30 volunteer therapists equally included in them. Through this program, in the first phase of the pandemic, more than 150 people found the support and care they needed to deal with whatever difficulties they were forced to experience, following a series of a certain number of sessions, via the Internet, with "their personal" mental health counselor/psychotherapist, final student or graduate of the Gestalt Foundation.
Since requests for participation in the program were increasing even during the summer months and bearing in mind that the pandemic is still active, it was decided to intensify the volunteer program, developing it into an important social contribution and volunteer program for Gestalt therapist graduates, but, at the same time, it is being upgraded to an internship structure for Gestalt Foundation graduate therapists, with the main goal of increasing the potential of collaborating mental health specialist volunteers in the program.
Thus, in September 2020, the Gestalt Foundation announces the organization and operation of the new volunteer program "e-therapy" by Gestalt Foundation to provide free psychological support and counseling, in times of crisis, via the Internet. The renewed voluntary program follows the successful operating model of the previous one, but it is upgraded and developed on several levels. Those interested (who must meet certain conditions) will be able to send their request, through a simple message, to participate in the program on the page created for this purpose on Facebook: https://www.facebook .com/gestalt.therapy. by.GF
The conditions for accepting a request for participation in the program were to be
After the management and acceptance of each request, each participant in the program is forwarded to the respective first available therapist, who undertakes the organization, implementation and completion of the online sessions with the interested party. Each participant is exclusively monitored by a specific and stable mental health consultant (therapist, trained in Gestalt psychotherapy) while throughout the intervention the therapists, in turn, join small supervision groups, which operate on a stable basis with the care and the supervision of Gestalt Foundation trainers.
By March 2021, more than 86 therapists (graduates and final students of the Gestalt Foundation) have collaborated in the program, and more than 420 of our fellow human beings have found the support and care they needed to face whatever difficulties they had to experience due to the pandemic.
Requests for participation in the program did not stop for a moment arriving on our page. The "e-therapy" program continues with the deep belief of the entire community of Gestalt therapists that together we will be able to overcome this difficulty and contribute to the community with all our strength!
In the academic year 2022-2023, which is the 4th period of the volunteer program "e-therapy", an additional 55 new volunteer therapists or final year trainee Gestalt therapists joined, while 5 new supervisory teams were activated to strengthen and ensure the effectiveness of the program.
Since the announcement of the resumption of the program (in October 2022) and within the first month of operation, more than 85 people who met the conditions for participation in this action had already requested help and received the support they needed.
For the period 2025-2026, for the 7th consecutive year, the continuation of the Voluntary Program for the Free Provision of Psychological Support and Counseling, via the Internet, is announced!
Since the launch of the “e-therapy” Program (March 2020) until today, more than 1.530 of our fellow human beings have found the support and care they needed to cope with any difficulties they were forced to experience due to the socio-economic-psychological impacts of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a series of stressful events that strongly affected Greek society (fires, floods, disasters, accidents, energy & financial crisis, etc.). In this context, the beneficiaries of the program followed a series of online sessions with their own “personal” mental health specialist.
Finally, it is important to highlight the voluntary contribution of a large number of mental health specialists (more than 295 supervisors, psychotherapists and trainee psychotherapists of the Gestalt Psychotherapy network in Greece) who were activated, offered and continue to offer their services in the context of this action with the slogan: All together... we can do it!
The coordinator and administrator of the requests of the entire program is Nikolas Raptis, Mental Health Counselor and Gestalt Foundations graduate.
The Gestalt Foundation has established itself as a major professional specialization institution in psychotherapy and in particular in the Gestalt psychotherapeutic approach for psychotherapists, mental health counselors and consultants in organizations & businesses.

These experiential workshops are addressed to the Gestalt Foundation trainees, as well as to Mental Health and Humanities students and professionals who would like to familiarize themselves with the theory, methodology and application of Gestalt theory and individuals who wish to learn more about them and experiment with more expressive forms of communication and contact on intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts.
For trainees the hours of attendance cover the required hours for their training program.
